BIOGRAPHY
I graduated from University of Dundee, BA (Hons) Fine Art, 2006 (1:1). Prior, I studied French at Sheffield University (2:1, 1999) working in public relations, London, for clients from Microsoft to Warner Brothers and Sony.
Exhibitions include; Far West, Arnolfini, Bristol, Nightcomers, Istanbul Biennial, Tart Gallery, San Francisco, Whitechapel Gallery, London, Scope, New York, and Sock Exchange, Climate For Change, FACT. Curatorial projects/solo shows include Paradise Stories, funded by European Capital of Culture, 2008 and San Francisco-Hong Kong research supported by Arts Council England.
Residencies include Libya Exchange with British Council, 2007, Cove Park, Scotland, Coldstore, Berlin and EU funded Open-Here, Munich, 2007. My collaboration with Grizedale Arts and Vitamin Creative Space sees long-term fostering of residencies to Nanling, China. Awards include Professional Artist Development with Chinese Arts Centre, Manchester.
I engage in critical writing for publications such as A-N. Coverage includes BBC, Sky Culture, South China Morning Post, A-N’s Future Forecast and European Magazine.
As Tate Gallery, Cornerhouse and Liverpool Biennial educator, I devise and lead workshops, also lecturing at universities across the UK.
